Keystroke Logging Software OR Keyloggers -- What Is It
Most common way to get hacked by someone is to check your personal account on a computer with people around you. I remember how I got familiar with the word HACKING. One of my friend was checking his Emails in the University Lab, without knowing that some of his naughty friends are spying on him (including me). Once he left the lab, because my friends saw him typing his weak password, they logged into his account and changed his profile details including password.
Their are two reasons why I told you such a lame history, first thing is to warn you about these kind of hacks, because it's quite a common way to loose your account (believe me, don't trust ANYONE - Just NO ONE, Not even your brothers and sisters). Second reason is to make you aware of a computer monitoring activity (I don't know how to refer it) name Keystroke Logging or Keyloggers or Keylogging, which can help any stranger (or hacker) to steal your password and other personal details from your computer by recording the keys you use to type it on a Keyboard.
Who And Why Anyone Uses Keylogging Software
1. Keylogging softwares and hardware are used by many companies to monitor the activities of employees on their computers.
2. Many IT companies use Keyloggers to troubleshoot the problems of users which they face while using some softwares.
3. Many parents use Keylogging softwares to monitor the activities of their children on computers as well.
4. And finally of course, our long lasting friends HACKERS, they use such software to steal your personal information from your computers for their filthy purposes.
What Is The Purpose Of Keylogging Software
1. Keyloggers basic purpose is to keep the record of the keys which you type at your Keyboard, it saves that information in a encrypted file in your computer. Depending on the nature of the Keylogger software, as soon it finds an internet connection in that PC, the file is emailed to the hacker or can be uploaded to a website without your information.

Those Advance Keylogger softwares also take snapshots of your desktop screen after every few seconds and save those pictures on a hidden folder. Once you paste it anywhere, windows clears its information stored at the Clipboard. But if a Keylogger software is installed in your computer, it can keep all the records of the information which is saved in the clipboard.

How I Can Become A Victim Of A Keylogger Software
1. Most of the times these Keyloggers gets installed in your PC when you download freeware or cracked softwares from Internet. Inside those crack files or freeware software, these kind of Keyloggers are hidden and can easily sneak inside your PC without your knowledge.
2. These kind of Keyloggers are also downloaded when you click an unknown link on the Internet or clicks a link which says CLICK HERE TO IMMEDIATELY BOOST YOUR PC(anything like that). Well such links do downloads a software on your PC, but those are either Viruses, Spywares, Malwares, Trojans or Keyloggers.
3. In order to steal your personal information from you, it's not necessary to Install a Keylogger on your PC only. For e.g., if you have a crooked friend, he can than invite you to use his PC to check your personal accounts. As soon you open your Email, Social Networks or any other personal account on his PC, the Keylogger software (which he has installed in his PC) will keep the records of your information, which your friend can see it later and rest you know what he will do with it.
