New 3D Food Printer Creates Amazing Sweet Art.
|
3D printing is a relatively new but still well known field. The idea is simple, if you can print something on paper in 2D then why not make a printer that can use plastic and create 3D models? But did you ever image that you could one day print food? This revelatory idea comes from a company called 3D Systems, and it's amazingly innovative, beautiful and delicious. |

The printer uses sugar, water and alcohol to form complex and delicate creations, and just about any kind of flavor and color can be added. |

While these food printers are still new technology and cost about $5,000 - $10,000 US, they will no doubt become cheaper in the near future, and I think demand will be high. In a few years we might find ourselves saying things like "Dessert is in the printer!". |
