Indians Celebrate Holi Latmar - The arrival of Spring

 

 

 

The religious holiday of the arrival of spring in India - Latmar Holi, also known as the "Festival of Flowers" - in the brightness of colors can compete with the carnival in Rio de Janeiro.

Every year thousands of people share a meal, and then arrange the ritual dances in national costumes.

During Holi Latmara men traditionally depict Krishna's friends: They pursue women, showering them with powdered color and flower petals. The Daily Mail. In between chases the participants of the action with a refreshing drink called tandtay, which is made from hemp. By the end of the festivities of the festival participants begin to cry and laugh (a state of religious ecstasy Hindus believe), it often results in mass hysteria, and orgies.
