1.    Java / J2EE Requirements – 5 Positions

 

Must-Haves

===========

1. Design patterns and datastructures (stacks, queues, etc).

2. Java language basics:

                - Exception Handling

3. Java concurrency framework: Threads, Locks,

4. I/O: File Handling, Socket Programming

5. Java Collection Framework

6. JVM basics:

- Garbage collection, Java ergonomics (memory).

- Java performance tuning

7. Java Generics framework.

8. Logging frameworks (Any one of log4j, java logging)

9. Build tools (Any one of ant, maven)

10. Version control (Any one of SVN, CVS)

11. Appservers (Any one of Tomcat, JBoss)

12. Frameworks (Any one of Spring, Struts)

13.Unix shell scripting

 

Good to have:

===============

1. DB interaction: JDBC, Hibernate, Connection pooling

2. Core Java:

                - annotations

                - java NIO

                - java proxies, reflection, etc.

3. SQL, Oracle PL/SQL

 

 

2.    Core Java – 7 Positions

 

We need core-Java profiles that have sound knowledge on:

 

1. Data structures

2. Threads, multi-threading

3. I/O

4. Design patterns

5. General Java concepts

6. Garbage collection

7. Java frameworks and of course, UNIX.

3.    Java Application Developer, or Java Web Application Developer – 1 Position

 

Skill set:  Java, J2EE, JDBC, Oracle, (Linux) Unix.  Eclipse, subversion, maven.  Cassandra or NoSQL development experience. Preferably have developed using Hibernate and MySQL.

 

experience:  5-10 years as a developer.  Preferably, have worked in large scale or enterprise applications.

 

 

4.    Java Developer

 

We would need a strong Java/J2EE programmer with a good knowledge and experience in UI applications.

He should have good exposure to jQuery and JSF.

The requirement is in the Customer Systems area.

 

 

5.    Java/J2EE Developer – 4 positions

 

The requirement is for a position that provides an opportunity to work on building scalable web applications using the latest UI frameworks

over a Java/J2EE platform. You will be working closely with other Sr. Engineers and architects in implementing high performance, scalable software solutions.

 

The candidate should have several years experience developing large-scale web-based applications using object-oriented languages.

The ability to be a good team player under tight deadline constraints is key to success.

 

Education/Experience - BS /MS in computer science or equivalent field with 8+ years relevant experience

 

- Minimum of 5 years experience in development of systems using Java/J2EE/Hibernate/SQL/XML/Oracle in a Linux environment

- Expertise in Web UI frameworks like GWT, Struts, JQuery.

- Strong software design skills

- Strong Java fundamentals

- Strong Hibernate and ORM.

- Experience in building Web services.

- Exposure to several open source java based frameworks

- Expertise in SQL and database schema design for Oracle Database.

- Extensive JUnit experience.
