Job Requirement:
Conducts analysis, designs products, and programs computer software that requires extensive research.
Typical background for this position is advance study/knowledge in the field of computer science or software engineering along with advanced knowledge of software development and methodologies.
Excludes paraprofessional positions. Performs software and system testing procedures, bug verification, release testing and beta support.
May consult with customer concerning application and maintenance of software. May coordinate installation of software system.
Analyzes and researches software requirements to determine feasibility of design and marketing requirements within time and cost constraints.
Performs product design and programming activities involving multiple modules or subsystems.
Participates in design meetings and consults with other staff to evaluate interface between hardware and software, and operational and performance requirements of overall system.
Performs complex release testing and beta support for assigned projects and resolves problems found in the software.
Prepares documentation required of the product. May serve as a project architect.
The Software Developer is a collaborative member of a highly motivated re-engineering team, and is primarily responsible for the design and development of high availability web services and batch processing software that facilitate continuing improvements for data management within Experian Credit Services.
The successful candidate will work closely with both technical and business operations staff from technical design through product delivery and operations for a variety of solutions.
Assignments run the spectrum from detailed specifications analysis, to coding, to creating/running test cases, to collaborating on next generation solutions.
The solutions cover a variety of processes from typical data management IT processing (e.g., data receipt, data cleansing, data loading) to internal/external web-based data/customer business process management, and may eventually include internal cloud-based data management services.
The systems platforms include development on Windows and Linux/AIX with integration to existing MVS systems.

Skills Required:
B.S. degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering or related discipline.
5-10 years hands-on development experience implementing web-enabled data processing software solutions.
Strong working background in the following is preferred:
Visual Studio, ASP.Net, C# and/or VB
SharePoint Architecture/Development/Administration
Linux or UNIX environments
Window server environments
Proficiency in Perl and/or other scripting technologies
Proficiency in SQL
